Construction Update: New Access Ramp Open for Southbound Drivers
Passengers driving to the airport from downtown Milwaukee and points north can now use the new ramp to access Mitchell Airport when traveling southbound on I-43/94. For more information and updates, visit www.plan94.org.
Please make sure to follow the signs and travel safely on the new ramp as drivers get used to the new configuration.
Stars and Stripes Honor Flight Takes WWII Veterans to Washington D.C.
More than 100 Wisconsin veterans were greeted at Mitchell Airport upon their return from Washington D.C. at the end of April, as a part of the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight program. Over the past several years, the program has taken more than 1,800 WWII Veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the WWII Memorial. Southwest Airlines Gives Students a Behind-the-Scenes Tour of MKE
In March, a group of Kenosha fifth graders was able to see the action of an airport first-hand, as a part of the “Adopt-a-Pilot” program provided by Southwest Airlines. Along with learning about the workings inside the airport, the kids also got to stand outside and watch a plane pull up on the tarmac. Check out their exciting trip to Mitchell Airport.
